The rules for playing Plotwork, in plain English. By playing, you agree to them.

Who we are

Plotwork is made by Heathcote Apps, a sole trader based in the United Kingdom. Contact us at support@plotwork.io. How we handle your data is in our privacy policy.

Who can play

Plotwork is for players aged 13 and over. If you're under 18, please make sure a parent or guardian is happy for you to play and to make any purchases.

Playing fair

• Don't cheat: no bots, scripts, modified copies of the game, or tricks to post results you didn't earn.
• Don't exploit bugs - tell us about them instead, and we'll thank you.
• Don't try to break, overload or get round the game's servers or its protections.

We can remove results, reset tables, or suspend or delete an account that breaks these rules.

Names and leagues

Choose a player name and league names that are fine for everyone to see: nothing offensive, hateful, sexual, or pretending to be somebody else, and please don't use your full real name. Names starting with a robot (🤖) are kept for the computer players. We can change or remove any name that breaks these rules.

Computer players

So there's always someone to play, some players in Play with strangers and on the season tables are computer players, run by us. Their names always start with a robot, 🤖. They can top a table, but a season is only ever won by a person.

Purchases

• Plotwork is free to play. Remove ads and Plotwork Pro are one-off purchases made through Google Play, at the price shown there. There are no subscriptions.
• They give you a personal licence to use those features in Plotwork on devices signed in to the same Google account. Use Restore purchases in Settings on a new phone.
• What's included is described in the game when you buy. We may add to Pro; we won't take away what you paid for while the game is available.
• Refunds are handled by Google Play under its refund policy - and nothing here takes away your rights as a consumer.
• Free extras - a day without adverts for a streak or for sharing, or the launch offer's free Pro - may be changed or ended at any time. Pro already given through the launch offer stays yours.

The game itself

Plotwork, its puzzles, artwork, music and name belong to Heathcote Apps. You may play it and share your results, videos and pictures of your games; please don't copy or resell the game or its artwork.

We'll keep improving Plotwork, which means features can change. Online features (races, leagues, seasons and tables) need an internet connection and may occasionally be unavailable, and one day they may be switched off - if that ever happens we'll give you as much notice as we can.

Your rights, and ours

We'll provide Plotwork with reasonable care and skill. Nothing in these terms limits your legal rights as a consumer, or our responsibility for anything the law doesn't let us limit, such as death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or fraud. Otherwise we're not responsible for losses that weren't a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms, and we don't make the game for business use.

Changes and the law

If these terms change we'll update the date at the top, and tell you in the game if the change matters. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK or in the EU, you also keep the protections of the law where you live.
